Moisturiser is the one product most of my clients use, it tends to e the one thing that people dont skip within their routine, and if they do, its because they believe moisturiser makes their skin more greasy or doesnt sink in etc.
The key here is to get the correct moisturiser for your skin type and complete the other stages of your facial routine to ensure it can get to the epidermis and do what it needs to do!
If you are unsure what your skin type is, or think you have a skin condition that you would like to target and reduce, book a free consultation with Dani, she can discuss your skin type and skincare goals and point you in the direction of the right range for you.
We stock a salon brand in the salon which we use as part of our spa facial, but we also stock bodyshop products which are great for an at home skin routine.
So a few couple shooting tips for you:
If your moisturiser is just sitting on the skin surface and not being absorbed, you probably have a build up of dead skin cells leaving your skin feeling dull and tired. A treatment such as microdermabrasion will give your skin a great boost quickly, removing some of these dead skin cells, or if you want to try and combat the issue at home, add a regular exfoliator into your routine. Exfoliation will help gradually remove the dead skin allowing the moisturiser to soak in without the barrier and do what it needs to do.
If your moisturiser leaves your skin feeling greasy or soaks in really quickly leaving your skin feeling dry, you are possibly not using the correct product for your skin.
If you have any questions about your skincare routine, book a consultation with Dani or a Spa facial where we can evaluate your skin and advise what would be best for you. x
